Aminta is the protagonist of a famous work by Torquato Tasso, called “Aminta”. The renowned Sorrentine poet, who also wrote “Rinaldo”, “Jerusalem Delivered” and “Jerusalem Conquered”, owes much of his fame to his pastoral poem entitled ”Aminta”.
